11 how to further customize a Sim (the swimsuit issue) |

| gloves:
One of the most popular things to make is gloves. The only drawback to this is, is that they will always be wearing them, even in the tub. But if you can live with that, the here is what you do. In the Simshow Textures file, if you look towards the end, you will see a bunch of files named HFROmed and HMROdrk, and HUAOlgt and HUAPmed, etc. The easiest way to do this if you want both hands to be the same color is to get a HUAO .bmp for whatever color your texture is in. If you have a med texture, then you will want to load up the HUAO_med bmp in your graphics program. Convert to 24 bit color, paint as you see fit and convert back. When you save it, you will have to save it in the game folder, not the Simshow folder, since simshow generally won't show it. When you save it, you will also need to rename it a bit. For example, Darth Maul's gloves went from being called HUAOdrk to HUAOdrk_maul. The ending tag tells the game what hands to use, so make sure it matches your body end tag. If you have a B504FAFitlgt_aurra bmp, then you will need to name the hands HUAOlgt_aurra. If you just want one glove to show, (perhaps a Michael Jackson, or Kane) then depending on the gender of your Sim, you will rename the files accordingly: male right hand: HMROdrk, HMROmed, HMROlgt female left hand: HFLOdrk, HFLOmed, HFLOlgt I do one of each so that there is a set, even if one hand stays the default color. But there are several hand positions for the sims as well, pointing and fists. To fix those as well, then rename the HUAP files and recolor them as well. Do this for the HUAO , HUAC and the HUAPfiles, as well as the HMRO and HFLO's. It's a whole crapload of hand files, but it'll be worth it in your game. Many of my earlier files don't have them all, but now I know better, so I'm sharing that with you. There are times that they may not show up, and if it does, try uninstalling and reinstalling. Makes no sense, but it does work alot of the time, though you may have to do it more than once. There may be a character restriction as well, limiting the length of your end-tag. Try to keep those as relatively short as you can. Not all computers display things the same way, as I will get into in the swimsuits section. It's happened to me and I don't know why. I had a wonderful Grinch Skin for Christmas, but it was bug-infested for reasons still unknown. Not a perfect science, at least on my end.

| nude skins:
this can be useful if you have made something like Darth Maul who just wouldn't look right with normal drk skin. Load up a nude base skin. Convert to 24 bit and paint accordingly and then convert back to 8 bit. When you save it, you will save it as NMFitdrk_maul or whatever your end tag is for the body texture you made. If it was a woman with an end tag of _aurra it would be NFFitlgt_aurra. See the pattern? |

| N -nude M/F -gender Fit -body type, could also be "fat" or "skn" drk/lgt -skin tone maul/aurra -end tag |

| You can check your work in Simshow
if you have the appropriate body models and name them for that mesh. Other
than that just put them in the game's Skin folder.
But using the pattern above, you can name just about anything. Say you got a purple people eater. he's using the fat body type and you have him designated as the med skin tone, with the end tag of "ppe". The nude file would be NMFatmed_ppe . Easy once you get the gist of it. |
