Sim Show Testing
This is one of the better parts of skinning. You get to see how all your hard meshing had paid off. Depending on how well the .cmx file writing went, it can be a time of achievment or hair-pulling if it crashes.

I've got a heck of a project folder going on here. Look at all the stuff I've created during this tutorial.

Time to find a place to put those files.

The folder above is the inner-workings of Simshow/Gamedata.

The CMX folder and the CMX4 folders contain animations and skeletons for Sim show. I've never messed with these folders, so I don't know if it's ok to put stuff in there or now. But my .skn files and the .cmx files are going to go right into the CMX2 folders and the textures for the head, body and naginata are going into the Textures folder. I keep a window for the CMX2 folder open in my taskbar just in case something crashes, or needs adjusted so I can find any newly added file quickly.

Now comes the moment of truth. I load up Sim Show and try to put it all together.

Well, it's not perfect. The hair protrudes from the belly a bit, the naginata is too short, angled wrong and needs to be repositioned in the hand better, and the hips look wierd at some angles, but thats what previewing it is all about. I can see what needs fixed. Also, the Naginata looks wrong, so I'll see what I can do about that as well.

I still have the old obj's in the project folder, so I can just go back, edit them, and then convert them and try it again.

Alright. Now I'm happy. Here's the better version:

It functions in Simshow! Now comes the true test! The game.
